Fuego En El Altar
George Anderson
Fire On The Altar
I want to see, fire falling on the altar
I want to see, a burning holocaust
I want to be a living sacrifice holy and pleasing
I want to see, I want to see power fall
I want to see, tongues of angels here
I want to see, I want to see fire from heaven
Power of the great Emmanuel
Like Elijah with his courage challenge
To the prophets of Baal he called
To show them the greatness of his Lord
Today is no different
We challenge with courage this generation
We ask for fire on the altar to prove
That God will never give His glory to another, never, never give
Spoken: And in front of the prophets of Baal
Elijah repaired the broken altar
He arranged the wood and placed his offering there
And three times he commanded them to pour
Four jars of water over the burnt offering
So that the water ran over the altar
And around it
Then Elijah, calling for fire, said
O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel
Show yourself today that you are God and I am your servant
Answer me, Lord, answer me
So that this people may know the God of Israel
Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the
Burnt offering, the wood, the stones, and the dust
And the water that was around the altar
And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces and said
You are Lord and God, you are Lord and God
I want to see fire falling on the altar
I want a burning holocaust
I want to be a living sacrifice holy and pleasing
I want to see, fire falling on the altar
I want to see, tongues of angels here
I want to see, I want to see fire from heaven
Power of the great Emmanuel
