The chains that bound me were shattered
Because Christ has taken away that weight I carried in my heart
The years were so long, I was a captive
But Christ has saved me and today I feel liberated, Glory to the Lord!
Now I am free (free)
Free like the wind (free)
Free like the bird that flies high
I have freedom

I don't know why men behave indifferently
Before the God of the universe who made the heavens, who gives freedom
And they walk through the world without finding any comfort
By the weight of sin they are chained without freedom
But I am free

Now that I am set free, I am a voluntary servant
Of the one who bought me and with his
Blood has washed me: I feel happy!
And I don't live for the world, vice no longer controls me
I do what pleases Christ and is better for my soul
Glory to the Lord!
