Bartimeu
Gerson Rufino
Bartimaeus
How many years waiting for something to happen
How long wishing to see the sun rise
How many days of lament suffering and afflictions
How many hours of bitterness and disappointments
How many tears shed without reasons to live
How much loneliness in darkness not knowing what to do
How much life in the gutter trying to survive
How many dreams and impossible projects for you
But when He arrives, He changes the situation
Wherever He goes, a great crowd goes with Him
And many miracles happen by His power
If you cry out to Him, He will surely answer you
Like the blind Bartimaeus
Not fearing, he raised his voice
He said Jesus, Son of David
Have mercy on me
Persisting louder, he cried out
In an instant Jesus stopped there
For the Master was calling him
He threw his cloak and went
Face to face, before the Lord
All this because he trusted
Bartimaeus was blind, but he saw
Because he cried out, then Jesus stopped
But when He arrives, He changes the situation
Wherever He goes, a great crowd goes with Him
And many miracles happen by His power
If you cry out to Him, He will surely answer you
Like the blind Bartimaeus
Not fearing, he raised his voice
He said Jesus, Son of David
Have mercy on me
Persisting louder, he cried out
In an instant Jesus stopped there
For the Master was calling him
He threw his cloak and went
Face to face, before the Lord
All this because he trusted
Bartimaeus was blind, but he saw
Because he cried out, then Jesus stopped
