Débora e Jael
Gerson Rufino
Deborah and Jael
Deborah went out, went out to judge
But on that day that Jewess
Would live something very unique
In the midst of the people was Barak
She ordered him to attack
To deliver the people from the Canaanite king
Who was oppressing the Hebrew people
Barak then imposes a condition on her
I'll go but you have to come to the battle
So that my army can see God is with you
She replied God guarantees victory
Barak you will not have glory
Your enemy will be struck down by a woman
And so the Lord thundered
And made the heavens pour down in the valley
And the iron chariots got stuck
At the mercy of Israel
The people fought, defeated the enemy
And their captain, fleeing from danger
Entered a woman's tent
Her name is Jael
He asks her for water and she then
Offers him milk
For his delight, a rest from war
Lying on the ground, he falls asleep
Slowly she takes a stake
And buries it in his forehead
And shows Barak her war trophy
Your enemy is dead here
These two women
Prove that the Bible has no prejudice
When we surrender, He finds a way
No matter if it's a man, child, or woman
These two women
Prove that fragility is a weapon for God
When the enemy thinks he has won
He is certainly defeated by our faith
He asks her for water and she then
Offers him milk
For his delight, a rest from war
Lying on the ground, he falls asleep
Slowly she takes a stake
And buries it in his forehead
And shows Barak her war trophy
Your enemy is dead here
These two women
Prove that the Bible has no prejudice
When we surrender, He finds a way
No matter if it's a man, child, or woman
These two women
Prove that fragility is a weapon for God
When the enemy thinks he has won
He is certainly defeated by our faith
He is certainly defeated by our faith
