A Resposta de Deus
Gerson Rufino
God's Response
How many times have you asked yourself
And humbled yourself before God?
Have you sought an answer for what you're going through
How many times have you cried?
And waited for what He promised
More tired you are wondering
Until when?
You don't understand why the delay
You think He doesn't hear you when you pray
Your hope dies a little more each day
You don't realize He answers you through signs
God's response
May be in the praise your neighbor listens to
In a pamphlet handed to you on the street
And without reading, crumpled, thrown away, forgotten
It may be in a look
In the gratitude of that wanderer
Or in the 'I love you' heard from your child
Even in the deliverance you received today
And you still waiting for God's response
You don't understand why the delay
You think He doesn't hear you when you pray
Your hope dies a little more each day
And you don't realize He answers you through signs
God's response
May be in the praise your neighbor listens to
In a pamphlet handed to you on the street
That you crumpled, threw away, forgot without reading
It may be in a look
In the gratitude of that wanderer
Or in the 'I love you' heard from your child
Even in the deliverance you received today
And you still waiting for God's response
And you still waiting for God's response
