O Crente e a Palmeira
Gerson Rufino
The Believer and the Palm Tree
In many times in the believer's life
The struggle is constant in their walk
And there are moments when the test is so great
That the believer even thinks about stopping
When the tears wet their face
The enemy tells them to give up
And when they think they're all alone
So desperate just on the road
Jesus says: My child, I'm here
The storm will soon pass
Jesus steers the boat in the middle of the sea
He is the captain, and when he steers the boat
The believer has victory
Be like the palm tree when the wind comes
It sweeps everything, and she goes too
But when it passes
She stands up and sings victory
Many times I've found in the Bible
Talking about the believer in comparison
It says they are like the sheep
And when tested, they don't complain
The trial always brings experience
Thus increasing the Christian's faith
When the struggle comes, they don't despair
They humble themselves like the palm tree
Then they rise up with the blessing in hand
The storm will soon pass
Jesus steers the boat in the middle of the sea
He is the captain, and when he steers the boat
The believer has victory
Be like the palm tree when the wind comes
It sweeps everything, and she goes too
But when it passes
She stands up and sings victory
The storm will soon pass
Jesus steers the boat in the middle of the sea
He is the captain, and when he steers the boat
The believer has victory
Be like the palm tree when the wind comes
It sweeps everything, and she goes too
But when it passes
She stands up and sings victory
