When Jesus returns, He won't ask you for your card
He won't care about the time you claim to be a Christian
And it doesn't matter to the Lord if you're friends with the pastor
If your family is influential or if you hold a position
He is the Lord and doesn't fall for false appearances
The believer to ascend must have communion

With the church communion, with the ministry communion
As long as you are in it, with everyone peace and communion
If you can't then love, look into your brother's eyes
When Jesus returns, He won't find you in communion

When Jesus returns, having a big house won't help
Nor the money invested, savings, dollars, and cards
Graduation won't help, nor ministry or function
If you have a ring, diploma, and fame, you can't lose the anointing
Whether you're a preacher, singer, or member
A congregant at heart
The believer to ascend must have communion

When Jesus returns, He wants to see His church in prayer
In every land, people and language, tribe, ethnicity, and nation
Whether you're civilian or military, rich, bastard, or commoner
You just need the certainty
That here on Earth you are one of His
When trumpets sound in the heavens, even graves will open
But to ascend to heaven, you must have communion
