I search for summer all year long
and suddenly here it is
she's off to the beaches
and I'm just down here in the city
I hear a plane whistling overhead
a plane that's flying away...

this afternoon is way too blue
it's dragging for me
I realize
I don't have
any more resources without you
and so
I almost, almost take the train
and I come, come to you
but the train of desires,
of my thoughts
is going the wrong way

It feels like when I was at church camp
with so much sun so many years ago
that Sunday I was alone
just walking in a courtyard
Now I'm more bored than back then
not even a priest
to chat with...

I look for a bit of Africa in the garden
between the oleander and the Baobab
the way I used to as a kid
but there are people here, it can't be done anymore
they're watering your roses
there's no lion
who knows where...
