Response Of The Three-Stripe Machete
There's a story of a three-stripe machete
That an artist put on record
Claiming to be a brave man
Frontline with that machete
He even made a braided whip
He's prepared to fight a lot
Says he fights like a tough guy
It's just talk from this ignorant
(It's just idle talk, noise of a plate is not food, person)
I don't fight, but singing I rip
A man like you is not a fighter
Not even with a machete, with a whip or a bullet
A guy like you, only talks
I'm not afraid of the three-stripe machete
Nor of the braided whip
I live life like a good artist
I was born calm and I'm not scared
(After the storm comes the calm, person)
Shouting on the radio is not being bold
It's just a headline to cause a stir
You think fighting is very pretty
You catch by shouting and don't say who it is
Even my fans think it's about me
If it is, I say I'm always at your service
In thought I don't kill or die
And the barking dog doesn't bite
(Every loudmouth is noisy)
I'm afraid of your courage
For the nonsense of making a poster
That I'm a gaucho from the old system
I do and don't say and you say and don't do
And I don't want you to threaten
My class with your model
I grew up dealing with a machete
And I tame a lion by stroking its fur
(That's it, and the little animal ends up giving in that it works even in a circus)
I ask my fans not to worry
And not to face this three-stripe machete
Because my verses serve as advice
I take the whip and the artist's machete
I only take the weapons, but I don't hit him
I just tell him not to do it again
Do like me, sing and don't fight
And I'm a friend to all these people
