The Poet
Once upon a time,
long ago,
there was a young man like you,
as restless as me.
He always wanted,
to surprise everyone,
with his strange power
to describe reality.
He had a band,
That quickly succeeded,
impacting everyone
with their way of acting.
And so he became
a Rock & Roll star
...or simply
a cardboard photo...
The poet disappeared.
Many say he died,
still nothing has been proven.
I just know he's listening
to my song...
Soon his image
traveled the world,
and he began to feel
just a signature on paper.
And with the sadness
of not being in control,
he sought the warmth
of his great friend,
...the end.
He no longer wanted,
not even to sing,
he was tired
of being a commercial object.
And when no one
could understand him,
he left with his friend,
...and he was never heard from again.
The poet disappeared.
Many say he died,
still nothing has been proven.
I just know he's listening
to my song...
