I
That morning felt different somehow
Something told me it wasn’t right
I got up…
And without meaning to, I trembled
II
I didn’t hear the birds sing
So much silence made me think
The sky was gray
And the future too
III
On the highway, I turned on the radio
And I understood what was about to happen
I was in the middle of a revolution
A blow to the history of this nation
IV
A few miles from the capital
People in the street wouldn’t let through
A truck full of food
They were about to raid
V
A regular guy came up to me
He said, "Stay calm… You can keep going!"
It’s not against you, all this reaction
You’re suffering just like I am!
Chorus
F-27
February 27!
The day the people got fed up
F-27
February 27
The day the people said, "No!"
VI
We barely made it through the first gunfire
What’s happening, my God? What am I seeing?
Columns of smoke spread across the city
The whole country seems to be exploding!
Repeat chorus
VII
All that blood
And all that destruction
So much suffering…
Tell me, what was it for?
VIII
It was a warning that won’t be erased
A nightmare…
That must never return!!!
Repeat chorus
