Poema 20 Pablo Neruda

Poem 20 Pablo Neruda
I can write the saddest verses tonight
Write for example: The night is starry
And they shiver, blue, the stars, in the distance
And the night wind spins in the sky and sings
I can write the saddest verses tonight
I loved him (her) and sometimes he (she) loved me too
He (she) kissed me (I kissed her) so many times under the infinite sky
Another will be like before my kisses
Love is so short, and forgetting is so long
I can write the saddest verses tonight
I no longer love him (her), it's true, but how much I loved him (her)
His voice, his clear body, his infinite eyes
Tonight in the immense night, even more immense without him (her)
To think that I don't have him (her), to feel that I've lost him (her)
Recited
“In the distance someone sings
In the distance my soul is not content with having lost him (her)
Even if this is the last pain he (she) causes me
And these are the last verses I write”
I can write the saddest verses tonight
I can write the saddest verses tonight
