I wasn’t really the type to laugh, just listening honestly
Propped up on my chin, analyzing the afternoon
Slowly approaching, then fading away
I’ve watched people ripple like overlapping waves
If even a little gets through, I can find my reason to be here
It’s raining outside, I was writing songs in class

Laugh it out, scream and shout, go on, everyone
I’m singing that right here, right now
So smile brightly, laugh it up, but I can’t find the next line
It’s sunny outside now, but I’m still here

Days are becoming familiar, little by little
Running with friends, tripping and getting laughed at
It’s absurdly peaceful, while my past was a rush

Staying like this isn’t so bad

I want to turn this into a meaningful life

But those words feel weak, everyone’s alone
The autumn wind feels like a real pain
My feet that started walking won’t move forward anymore
