If I Could Ask You Million Questions, That Would Leave Me Wanting More
Thats Why I Let You Do The Talking, Maybe Thats What Talking Is For
Billions of years have passed
That you have existed with time and every day you are more
Immense, strange, and something else
Because mysteries abound in you, it's great
I don't know how you do it, truth be told
You are giant, unattainable to explore
But at the same time almost impossible to observe
Both in the micro and macro it's hard to look
You expand more every day
Maybe you are infinite, what does it matter
If we have barely observed beyond
The wall of Sloan galaxies
Supernovas like cells
Your whole body has that is diffuse
Every time I look at stars, I look back
I look to the past, and many of them may no longer be there
Because the light that comes from there
Traveling in light-years will take years
To find the eyes of humanity
Which sometimes I think doesn't know you're there
And yet I don't understand who I am
Questions abound, answers don't
As long as I remain conscious in the world, I will dedicate myself to understanding you better
What are you if not me composing to himself this letter embodied in song?
I suppose a composer
Of space, time, and my voice
If I Could Ask You Million Questions, That Would Leave Me Wanting More
Thats Why I Let You Do The Talking, Maybe Thats What Talking Is For
