Samba-Enredo 1993 - The Dance of the Moon
It brightened, it brightened, it brightened (it brightened)
The dance is about to begin (hooray, hooray)
It brightened, it brightened, it brightened
Estácio has the Moon as a partner
I heard the Carajás Indians tell
That nothing existed
Until Kananciuê created
In the fragile light of the New Moon
He made the earth and the flora
The fauna, the river, and the sea
The true paradise
Garden of Eden or maybe Shangri-La
And so the Moon danced and became crescent
And revealed the kingdom of green stones
The guacaris and the sacis
Cancão and the mother of the forest
Who protected the Amazons
Brave warriors of the icamiabas nation
Light the bonfire, to brighten up
The flaming Caipora, doesn't want to stop
If the firefly barely illuminates, let it go
Imprison the king vulture
To release the Full Moon
Lunar dragon grant me the pleasure of contemplating
These goddesses under your protection
The Waning Moon is not long in coming
When it arrives, it will reduce the brightness
It will bring with it wickedness
The zodiac will dance
The black witches will marry Satan
Lots of orgies and something more
A true Sabbath
The Moon goddess left
The Black Moon arrived
In search of love
The black and white is colorful
Everything is more beautiful in our interior
