I met a bad world
And with it its tricks
I dragged myself in the mire
All because I wanted
To know more than anyone
To build some love
Where peace could be
The truth for me to see

But Jesus Christ came and found me
So dirty like that
And on a cross for me He shed
Blood so pure
That's how He saved me

Now I truly know
The clarity of Jesus
I came from darkness
I met with the light
Today I do want to know
About my saving master
I want to give Him my praise
I can only believe in Him
