El Gadareno

In the region of Gadara there was a demon-possessed man
He always lived in the tombs and on the mountains screaming
He hit himself with stones and was captive to the devil
It became a beast, the people were scared
They led him astray because of the fear he caused them
They tied him up with chains and he easily tore her to pieces

The people were very confused and had no hope
When they least expected it, he appeared in a boat
Our Lord Jesus Christ and with him things change
He rebuked the demons and freed the Gadarene
People were wondering what was going on
He was healthy and dressed, the one who was previously afraid of him

The Gadarene, now free, said, Lord, I follow you
And Jesus answered him, go and preach to your friends
Tell everyone you know what God did for you
There are many people who remain captive
They do not live in tombs and although they are very well dressed
Through sin and vice, they are destroying their lives

Today I am not arriving by boat, nor to the region of Gadara
Today the one who frees souls is with us
If you want, you can try it and your life will be saved
My life was captive, Jesus Christ set it free
Today he preached his word because I am thankful
