Barn Fandango
From afar a longing is approaching
Comes in a trot, neatly saddled
Remembering the lullaby nights
It is mounted on the gear of the past
Then I hear a leading accordion
Caressed by the fingers of an accordionist
A fandango desire emerges from the soul
To dance through the lofty barns
And a young girl looking at me from the corner
Turns me into a rider of destiny
I prance in a vaneira rhythm
This is my way, I'm like a boy
I like the accordion, guitar, and singing
I like parties in a thatched barn
I like the affectionate ways of the girls
In the back and forth of the melodies' singing
And I go on with my life this way
Hard work on the ranch
Days of toil pass in my chest
Weekends have barn fandangos
