Um Novo Dia

There is a new day, a new day

When life's moments make me see
What exists inside me, I'll tell you
I fight to achieve, I run just to escape
I do what I can, but I'm no longer a winner, I've erred again

What I do is what I don't want, what I want is what I don't do
I live in this struggle, but I know
There is a new day!

And when this happens, I can only feel
That my faith fades, seems to disappear
But I understand, then I feel that despite my mistakes
I can still have, have God's love, which gives me forgiveness

Only then can I go on and I am encouraged to continue
Believing that victory will surely come because
There is a new day!
