The Temptation
Our Father who art in heaven, don't let us fall into temptation, don't let us fall.
Evil intentions keep on pushing, and we’re under pressure, the biggest stress is falling into temptation. We live with demons trapped in a world called 'life' where hate rules over love. Where's the love? There’s a reward for those who find it, 'cause here we search for love, maybe we’ll find it, but it never answers. I’d like to know where this unheard place hides. Is it that malice blinds us, making it hard to see? A flag like the world turned Jewish after the forbidden fruit was given to Adam, and he took it and bit it. Now we’re nothing, like Adam, turned upside down, dreaming for a moment that we’re alive. We live with the devil who tempts us daily to sin, so our souls won’t repent. Come on, dog, try it out, your heart has changed, now it’s cold as ice. Who said it’s bad? Tell me who told you that? The one who claims to be God’s son? You’re puppets, victims of my strategy. Look how the good path is left behind for my pleasures, and you cling to a book, a word of life, where it says I’m the father of lies. OK, it’s true, I always lie to you, I enjoy lying to you while you’re not awake in my world where you ignore the commandments. I make you forget God and regrets, and you think temptation came from heaven? You’re wrong, it came from a bird that lost its flight centuries ago.
Chorus: Temptation infiltrates the world, and it wants everything that walks. In a mirage, it makes you believe that it’s glory, and you’ll always have it. Temptation is the path to catastrophe.
Temptation was the first protagonist in the destruction of the whole world, attacking from the heart. Beyond them are the consequences that strongly sentence your future days. That’s why living for appearances is seeing through the eyes of ignorance, living in a world of innocence, crashing into the error lost in the maze of unconsciousness. Few resist sin, we all were born with a wicked mark, but I won’t resign because I know one day we’ll be worthy of receiving God’s blessing in a new world, guided by His command, His breath, and His voice, where sin is left behind, and where temptation doesn’t control the human mind. Because of all that, look where we are, paying for each of our sins. I know that just like me, those voices hear you, inciting you to hate your neighbor, if you destroy them for a simple whim. When evil hugs you, burying forgiveness, unearth revenge. A man of principles, these days, doesn’t exist. Temptation attacks the heart, it’s clean, and in its game, it has calm on its side. Weakness may betray me one day. I watch as my steps suddenly stray. I don’t give a damn if my wife trusts me. I’ve bitten the bait; she wants to see who pulls the strings on that bitch just like Talia. But it’s too late, I can’t hit the brakes, and the paths between light and darkness are where we walk. Who do we choose? Your book would come in handy. I’d like to know that your soul hasn’t been sold. Live from above, and it’s the wise who aren’t tempted for good, but for the opposite.
Chorus: Temptation infiltrates the world, and it wants everything that walks. In a mirage, it makes you believe that it’s glory, and you’ll always have it. Temptation is the path to catastrophe.
Thanks to our own disobedience, we’re imprisoned and punished by our own despotism. What tempts is what isn’t, and at the same time, it pretends to be, and we fall for not considering many things. Think with attraction, not with reasons. You see the face but never the heart. Believing in trust is surrendering to death. Nothing is real; everything is a hologram, everything is a farce, everything is a theater, and almost all of us are puppets. In other words, cookie-controlled dolls. Sin and temptation fused to create confusion for people. Choose to turn a new page to write your paradoxes, and maybe in the nearest morgue, they’ll pick you up.
Chorus: Temptation infiltrates the world, and it wants everything that walks. In a mirage, it makes you believe that it’s glory, and you’ll always have it. Temptation is the path to catastrophe.
