Come See the Sun Rise
If you pay close attention
You’ll see the world has
A lot of people for whom
Faith isn’t about waiting
For luck to fall from the sky
Or for the dragon to rise from the ground.
It’s just the joy of doing good
Every time there’s bread on the table.
It’s good to remember
That real nourishment comes from the heart.
What’s the point of all this illusion
All this luxury of power
Without the joy of doing good?
They can say it’s naive
To want to make the world better
But I’m gonna celebrate.
That our hands create miracles
Call it whatever you want
I don’t belong to just one tribe
Or any sacred book.
I’m just here
And this is my time to live.
