Many many years ago, when I was 23 years old
I married a widow as beautiful as can be
This widow had a grown-up daughter with red hair
My father fell in love and soon married her

This made my dad my son-in-law, and changed my life
My daughter became my mother, because she was my father's wife
To complicate the case even more, I had a joy
I soon became the father of a cheerful little boy

My baby became my father's brother-in-law
