La Rabia Y Los Sueños
Habeas Corpus
The Rage and the Dreams
We’re left with the rage and the dreams,
we’re left with the rage and we’ve got the dreams,
we’re left with the rage and the dreams,
the dreams steal from us, they take away our sleep.
The rage, when there’s no other way,
the rage, words don’t mean a thing,
the rage, when it seems everything’s been said,
the rage, when there’s nothing left,
you’re left with the rage, just the rage.
I wish, I wish everything were different,
that hate would lose all its meaning,
that no one else would feel the need
to take on this risky path.
So many lives it’s snatching away,
for which so many tears have been shed,
that has shattered so many hopes
as lives have been worn away.
We’re left with the rage and the dreams,
we’re left with the rage and we’ve got the dreams,
we’re left with the rage and the dreams,
the dreams steal from us, they take away our sleep.
I feel, I feel the need to say what I feel,
even if the truth hurts,
it hurts us the indifference
of those who see us as a problem.
Is there any violence
that can compare to this,
more everyday, more filthy, more brutal
and more cruel with more dead from sorrow?
Sorrow sees that you leave no other way
than to respond to force with force,
that you wish the same fate
that you’ve planned for us, the embrace of the Earth.
And that you feel fear once and for all,
that you never have a peaceful sleep,
that your life hangs by a thread
like ours has since we were born.
We’re left with the rage and the dreams,
we’re left with the rage and we’ve got the dreams,
we’re left with the rage and the dreams,
the dreams steal from us, they take away our sleep. (x2)
You know, you should know
that just as you can win, you can also lose. (x4)
We’re left with the rage and the dreams,
we’re left with the rage and we’ve got the dreams,
we’re left with the rage and the dreams,
the dreams steal from us, they take away our sleep. (x2)
