Quill Pen
My heart springs forth
A beautiful poem
I recite my verses to a king
My tongue is an agile quill pen
You are the most handsome of men
Grace spills from your lips
The Lord blesses you eternally
Gird your sword on your side
Brave is your splendor and pride
Ride out victoriously
For truth and justice
Your right hand will show you marvelous deeds
Your arrows are sharp
The nations fall beneath you
The enemies of the king cringe
Your throne, O God, will last forever
Your royal scepter is a scepter of justice
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness
Therefore God, your God
Has set you above your companions
Myrrh, aloes, and cassia
Perfume your garments
From palaces adorned with ivory
The music of the harps delights you
Daughters of kings are among your honored women
At your right hand stands the queen
Clothed in gold of Ophir
Listen, daughter, pay attention
Forget your people and your father's house
The king is enthralled by your beauty
Honor him, for he is your lord
The city of Tyre will come with a gift
The richest of the people will seek your favor
The princess is led to the king
Her gown is adorned with precious jewels
Accompanied by her maidens
They are led in with joy and gladness
They enter the palace of the king
In place of your fathers will be your sons
You will make them princes throughout the land
I will perpetuate your memory
Through all generations to come
And the peoples will praise you
Forever and ever
