In the heavenly homeland, God's sweet home
Jesus prepares a place for His own
Far from evil, sin, and pain
Those who want their Lord forever with them

Oh! Sweet, sweet home!
There, with Jesus, I will rest forever

Oh! Sacred home of peace and love!
There on the throne, I will see my Lord
The gentle Lamb, reigning in light
Praised by all, blessed Jesus!

Such pure delights are found in you!
Supreme joys await there
For those whom God wants together with Himself
And to satisfy them perpetually!

It is not your pleasures that I desire to enjoy
But rather, to dwell forever with Jesus!
Never dishonor Him, never offend
The One who, to save me, was willing to die
