Jesus Comes Triumphant
How it shines from the east
The lightning to the west
From this world Jesus will return from heaven
He will take His Bride in joy
By His blissful side
To the eternal home of heavenly light
Soon, from heaven
Jesus will come to take us
With great power, Jesus will come
And we must all be prepared
With white garments
And shining like the light
Behold, the door is open
For the soul that awakens
Accepting Jesus, the Savior
For His shed blood
Has overcome vile sin
Bearing our pain on the cross!
Jesus comes, triumphant comes
With His flaming eyes
For His face will shine like the sun's light!
Very happy are those who cry out
For His coming, for they love Him
And in heaven, their names are written in the scroll
Jesus comes, like the rising sun
Illuminating this world
The Church will rise to meet Him
In His hand brings bright light
Like a shining star
And praises will be heard in the high heavens!
