Like this one to whom praise is due
From every creature

Jesus, the light is You from heaven!
Jesus, our beloved
Jesus, the true God
Exalted by all!

Descending to the world, the light from heaven
Clothed in human form
To the holy Son, then was given
The sovereign name

Given to death on the cross
Above was written
The lovely name of Jesus
For us, there cursed

The great victor over death
At the Father's hand seated
For us, He is intercessor
And the only Advocate

Jesus, my tender Savior
You are my hope
I trust only in Your love
And You place me in safety
