Liberto da Escravidão
Harpa Cristã
Freed from Slavery
In Babylon, in prison
Israel was
The holy people of Zion
Suffering cruel pain
But one day, it was heard
That the king's voice came out
To return from slavery
All the people to Jubilate
With harps singing
They went in search of Zion
Sing, said the Chaldeans
The hymns of Zion
But this saddened
The children of Abraham
They were freed there by God
From vile slavery
And every soul was filled
With laughter and gratitude
How great things God has done for us!
They sang, then
And it seemed like a dream
The return to Zion
And in this world, like Babel
There are many in prison
Suffering cruel pain
Without consolation
But of Christ it was heard
That from God, the voice came out
To return from slavery
May you accept this
Come sing with the harp
And thus, return to Zion
