For the faith that was once delivered to the saints
That comes to us through Jesus, and dries our tears
Believers can, without any fear
Follow in the footsteps of the Lord

In sadness, in struggles, in pain
They turned to dear Jesus
The Lord gave them victory
Through the blood shed on the cross

The Christians were judged by vile courts
In prisons, innocents were forcefully thrown
And stripped of their earthly possessions
But joyfully they followed the Lord

Pilgrims the saints walked in the world
They took refuge in the earth's caves
And there gathered, they celebrated
Jesus, their beloved Savior

By faith is how we, believers, should always
Stand firm in Jesus and thus we will overcome
And one day, in heaven we will find
The faithful, who loved the Lord

There in heaven we will have no more pain
And the tears will cease
When near our Lord
Our soul will finally rest
