A rugged cross was lifted high
And from it the daylight faded from the sky
A symbol of shame and deep distress
But I gaze upon that cross
For on it Jesus
Gave His life for me, a sinner
Yes, I cherish the message of the cross
And I'll proclaim it till my final breath

From the glory of heaven
God’s Lamb of love
Humbled Himself and walked to Calvary
This cross holds for me
Endless attraction
