Leaving Egypt in search of Zion
My Savior led me with His mighty hand
He took me through victories by fire and sea

I walked through the fields, where I found the fruit
In Hebron, I also picked some living grapes, to boot
Here I found better honey, wine, and milk
To the slavery of Egypt, I will never go back, no guilt

The struggles of this life I no longer feel
For I will always sing of His grace, love, and peace so real
I’m marching on to my eternal home
And soon, there in heaven - my homeland - I will roam
