O Pastor e As Ovelhas
Harpa Cristã
The Shepherd and the Sheep
The Shepherd loves the sheep
With a paternal love
The Shepherd loves his flock
With an unparalleled love
The Shepherd loves even others
Who are astray
And moved, he seeks them
Wherever they may go
Through the wandering deserts
They are seen suffering a thousand pains
He, upon finding them, on his shoulders
Happily leads them to the fold
The Shepherd loves his lambs
With ineffable love
To those who, sometimes, lost
Moaning in pain are heard
See the Shepherd moved
Wandering through the hills
And the lambs on his shoulders
See Him, leading them to safety
He loves the ninety-nine
That he sheltered in the fold
He loves the one, astray
That strayed in the field
O my lost sheep!
The sorrowful Shepherd cries
Who will come to her aid
To save her, Lord?
Your pastures are delicate
Your waters are very calm
Here we are, oh good Master
Give us true direction
Make us zealous workers
Fill us with holy love
For the lost sheep
Of Your fold, good Lord
