The Sustenance of the Soul
It gives sustenance to my life
The Word of the Lord
My downcast soul
Finds comforting power
Glorious deliverance
We find in Jesus
In Him the joyful heart
Already enjoys His light
Jesus Christ gave me salvation
Also eternal life
Gave me joy in my heart
And celestial power
His grace is sufficient
Divine! It's His love
I have exultant life
By the good Comforter!
Saints, let us all proclaim
That Jesus will return
And that we must serve Him
And love Him sincerely
He rose from the grave
And showed Himself alive
The happy creatures
Whom He loved so much in the world
Let there be no idlers
In the Church of the Lord
But rather fervent believers
Working with vigor
Whoever has overcome here
For Jesus and His love
Will have a royal garment
For the splendid wedding!
We will enter the beautiful
Hall, full of splendor
Prepared for the Bride
Of Jesus, the Savior
When we arrive there
Great celebration will be
And Jesus, who has given us
Salvation, will serve us
