El Malandrín
Héctor Treviño Baltierrez
The Outlaw
When the tree is down
Everyone wants to make firewood
As advice I tell you
Avoid problems
They didn't cut the root
And I hope it grows soon
How you behave in life
That's how it will always treat you
Many say I'm bad
Because I'm in jail
The world turns a lot
And no one should be judged
There's a God who sees everything
I've never forgotten that
I never thought I'd be a bandit
I know that's a sin
They call me the outlaw
And I've earned it
I never mistreat anyone
When they haven't earned it
To respect anyone
Life has taught me that
By wanting to be more than others
Many have been killed
When one comes into this world
And is still a child
There's no malice in the mind
I was on the right path
And in a moment
Believe me, my destiny changed
I don't want you to be afraid
Just to have respect
It's easy to taunt a man
Behind bars it's true
Think about the consequences
That the winds can bring
Matamoros, Tamaulipas
Land that saw me born
But I'm in the cherry tree
If you want to meet me
My hand is for people
Who are honorable and lawful
The outlaw says goodbye
But first gives you advice
Never be opportunists
Much less with a prisoner
It can bring consequences
And they may not grow old
