Summer Song
Summer was like a hot breath of a cow
We rode away to wash it off with wheels
The beach was too small and even had a muddy bottom
We cursed only the smell of the factory together
And at the youth center hill, the loser was the last one up
And from those days, only shreds are left
But something better into adulthood
To draw from
To draw from
There was a blue base for the dragon on the board
Ordered all the way from America with dollars
On the tennis court, the first bare spot of spring
Summer ruined in one jump together
Beers were hidden in the woods along the track
And trains were greeted with bare bottoms
Before the city, a ten-bag and a pack of smokes
Some high schooler hit on the best girl
Can't lose the game, have to remember to smile at the girls
And from those days, only shreds are left
But something better into adulthood
To draw from
To draw from
At the bus stop, someone was stronger than me
It's easy if you have a friend with you
Running through the forest, branches whipping the face
But it hurt more to be a coward
And as we grew up a bit, everything was paid back with interest
And from those days, only shreds are left
But something better into adulthood
To draw from
To draw from
