Komm In Meinen Wigwam
Heino
Come Into My Wigwam
The prettiest girl in the mountains,
her name is Siouxcity-Sue.
In a wigwam in Montana,
she lives in the land of Winnetou.
For seven days, seven nights,
I searched for her in the prairie.
A rainbow in vibrant colors
showed me the way. There I found her!
She looked at me with fairy-tale eyes.
It was love at first sight!
Yeah, the rainbow, the rainbow,
yeah, it showed me the way to happiness.
And she never asked for my name.
She just called me Rainbow-Johnny!
Come into my wigwam, wigwam, rest with me!
Come into my wigwam, wigwam, here you’re at home!
Come into my wigwam, wigwam, even if it’s small.
Rainbow-Johnny, Rainbow-Johnny,
come and let’s be happy!
Rainbow-Johnny, Rainbow-Johnny,
don’t ever leave me alone!
Campfire, firewater, sunset,
the wind blows from the south.
And my gaze goes to the west,
where the buffalo herds are.
Strange lands, foreign seas,
I’ve seen it all before.
But in her little hut,
the world was so much more beautiful!
Why did I leave?
My longing burns constantly,
for those dark fairy-tale eyes,
further in the land of Winnetou.
And she never asked for my name.
She just called me Rainbow-Johnny,
C h o r: Rainbow-Johnny.
