A Damn Stone Hut
I had to go to the mountains to hunt reindeer.
The bus was pretty late, I had to walk to Hein.
The weather was rough and heavy and gray.
The terrain was slippery and wet,
I started to get a little scared.
I had neither map nor compass,
should have definitely thought about that.
Pretty stupid, don't you think?
Seagulls and rocks were all I saw.
The fog came creeping thick, so heavy and gray.
The hunter was small and the Plateau big.
Had no guiding oar,
needed a big brother.
I took the risk
that I would find a bow.
The clock ticked, oh my, it was almost seven!
But then I came to a damn stone hut.
One wall was leaning out, but the roof intact.
Sat down and took out the lunch,
wet and cold so my body shivered.
Still, I was happy!
Life is like a foggy home.
The road is far from clear,
I can't find my way home.
Wandering around in a fool's game.
Fighting against a demon,
lying to myself.
When it's darkest.
When it blows with sharp gusts of wind.
When I walk towards a cliff, into a deep.
Then I come to a damn stone hut.
One wall leaning out, but the roof intact.
Sit down and take out the lunch,
wet and cold so my body shivers.
Still, I am happy! I am happy!
Then I come to a damn stone hut.
One wall leaning out, but the roof intact.
Sit down and take out the lunch,
wet and cold so my body shivers.
Still, I am happy!
Yes, still I am happy!
Yes, still I am happy!
