Spirit (o Corcel Indomável) - Espírito Indomável
Henrique Mendonça
Spirit (The Untamed Stallion) - Untamed Spirit
They say the history of the west was
Written
By men who rode in the saddles
Of the stallions
But, if men
Were allowed to
Hear the story from the horse itself?
Where sky and earth kiss
The waters flow in narrow rivers
Here I was born, here is my place
To be a leader, I was born
And lives depend on me
I will stay with you forever
But not everything is flowers
And then I contemplated fear
I didn't listen to you
And wanting to know more, I sinned
Such a long night
Imprisoned for harboring innocence
But I wonder
What would men give for freedom?
I heard your voice
When I thought of stopping
Inside me
I hear a heart singing
Untamed Spirit
Untamed Spirit
My mind quiets down
I feel calm within me
That translate storm the thunder in my being
I may be alone
But I believe
That as high as the eagle flies, I will also fly
I won't, I won't, I won't let
This force that moves me subdue you
I'll do what I need to, try to face me
With just one look I'll tell you
Don't touch me
And step aside
Get out of here
I want to pass
So let me run
Or it will be worse
For all those who stepped on me
I go against the crowd
Of insubordination
I think it's better to say
That I was born to win
You will still hear
Stories about this chestnut horse
With me, know, it's like this
Don't touch me
But among humans, there are those who also stand out
A friendship that makes you feel good
Introduced me, oh-oh
A feeling that goes beyond
Love, oh-oh
And now, I'm part of it too
And once I heard a story
It spoke of a monster endowed with intelligence
Who in an act of ingratitude
Used such gift to fight against nature
But I learned that among the monsters, in a similar way
There is a good one to guide me
Made me fly like an eagle and tread the way back
Home!
I heard your voice
When I thought of stopping
Inside me
I hear a heart singing
Untamed Spirit
