Brothers, this is the story
Of a very determined man
He was a Roman citizen
And a Jewish Pharisee
Very attached to the law
That his nation has had

Sometimes he would hand over
Christians in chains
When they killed Stephen
He was present himself
From there he left with soldiers
In search of more believers

Blind he fell from the horse
When he heard from heaven
'Saul, why do you persecute me?'
I am Jesus whom you follow
Lord, forgive me and tell me
What should I do?

The brothers in Damascus
Were all praying
Because they knew that prisoners
Saul was coming to take them
But they saw him enter
Blind and imploring God

It is written what he said
I will preach the gospel
I am not ashamed of Christ
Because he died on the cross
For all sinners
Of whom I am the first

To kings, governors
And to the nations he brought
The gospel of Christ
As it was destined
While in Rome imprisoned
Paul the apostle died
