The Trucker
Driving my truck
I'm watching the sun rise.
Breathing in the dawn,
trying to overcome the distances.
The insomnia of a moonless night,
is fading away.
And the day is born showing the route
I will walk.
My heart is nourished
by the constant roar of the engine,
struggling to roll
eighteen wheels without regret.
In the hours of rural sacrifice,
they are watching us,
like an unattainable dream, losing ourselves...
Losing ourselves
in the constant coming and going
heavy loads earning a living.
Driving a truck
I fully immerse myself in living this dream.
To which I gave my life,
as my father did yesterday.
In it lies my happiness, I need nothing more
that's why I sing what I feel, in a truck.
Midday on the road
and I try to overcome distances.
I think of the many who will
keep my song
Just to feel happy in the truck
living the dream I'm in.
Taking a break at sunset
under some trees, guardians of time.
Next to my truck
we rest in the open field.
I got tangled up in the shoulders
and only my truck knows it well,
the roads and their loneliness
will keep my song
Just to see me happy
in a truck living the dream.
To which I gave my life
as my father did yesterday
In it lies my happiness, I need nothing more
that's why I sing what I feel, in a truck.
