Basque keeps us alive
and long may it live.

Up goes the sharp capital
and Lapurdi is always dull,
the world is full of lies,

Ours is not a normal way of life
the land is worked with sweat and shovel,
in exchange for work, we get reality.
Truly miserable
is the Basque newspaper.

You can't live like that in the world,
everything goes up in markets,
home and soup completely clear,
the oil of crises
is not a formal dessert.

A loyal worker and farmer,
yours is not a liberal income.
Dirty money like little worms
they throw over you
their shadow there.

Owners have a strong conscience,
they have trampled on our land,
but Lapurdi is not so servile;
the dirt is clean
that's the main thing.
