My house doesn't have the beauty
That many others in the world have
But it doesn't matter; my wealth
Is always eternal with the angels there

I have a house in that city
Resplendent with heavenly radiance
I miss my homeland
I will be with Jesus, my Lord

Here on earth the struggles don't cease
Temptations attack me endlessly
But soon I forget everything
Enjoying delights prepared for me

Don't judge me poor or abandoned
I am a pilgrim with Christ
I am not sad, nor discouraged
I am a participant in a kingdom
