In Jesus, friend we have
Who suffered our pain
And commands us to bring
Our cares to the Lord

Joy, peace, consolation?

Everything to God in prayer
Are you weak and burdened
With worries and fear?
Go to the beloved Savior
Go with faith to expose your ailment
Seek your best friend
Speak to Christ in prayer
In Him you find tender shelter
And rest in affliction
Christ is a true friend
Of this He showed us proof
When, to have with Him
The guilty, He became human
He came, with His pure blood
