Oração Noturna

This day that my Father gave me ends,
Evening shadows already cover the sky.
O blessed Jesus, if you are with me,
I do not fear the night, I will sleep in peace.

With sins, today, I saddened you,
But I ask for forgiveness out of love for You.
I am small and fragile, deliver me from evil!
May I have final protection in You.

Guard the sailor in the violent sea,
And comfort those who suffer pains.
To the tempted, you extend your hand, Lord!
Send the Comforter to the sad and afflicted.

For parents and friends, for the holy Law,
For Divine love, I will give thanks!
O Jesus, accept my petition,
And, safe, I sleep without disturbance. Amen.
