How kind a Friend is Christ
He revealed His love to us
And tells us to give Him
Our cares, without fear
Does the sorrowful heart lack
Joy, peace, consolation?
It's because we don't bring
Everything to Him in prayer

Are you walking sad and burdened
With sorrows and pain?
To Jesus, eternal refuge
Go, with faith, expose your ailment
Do your friends despise you?
Tell Him in prayer
And, for His tender love
You will have peace in your heart

Christ is a true Friend!
He proved it to us
When, to redeem us
He humbly incarnated
He shed precious blood
To purify us!
Joy, in life and in the future
We can already attain!
