A Igrejinha

In my car I was driving down the road
With the radio on listening
Trying to forget my problems
Not even the music made me forget

The feeling of emptiness was enormous
Desperately I started to reflect
Suddenly I saw a little church
And a hymn I heard went like this

What pleasure we have to be before the Lord
To hear His voice, a voice so gentle full of love

The moment I entered that church
I felt a warmth like never before
And the brightness of the people
Was so strong I can't express
The elder didn't speak of religion
But the word reached my heart
It was a beautiful experience with God Himself
Now I sing one of the hymns I learned

Eternal life, they will surely attain
In heaven, the faithful
The crown, they will form
Around the King of Kings

And then returning home
Still feeling a piece of heaven
Oh, how I miss the little church
It was the most heavenly thing
I've ever seen, and now

I am happy - I am Happy
For I found who leads me to my Country
But Happier - Happier
I will be when I am in my Country
