The Widow of Nain
It happened in the city of Nain
A poor widow the story goes like this
She had a son, a young man she loved very much
(Such great love, that people admired)
(Such great love, that people admired)
But then the worst, one day, happened
Her beloved son suddenly died
No, no, my son, don't leave me like this
(Being alone, how will I live here)
(Being alone, how will I live here)
The sad time is of separation
To the cemetery the crowd accompanied
She cried, she cried, the mother with pain in her heart
(Nothing to do but wait for consolation)
(Nothing to do but wait for consolation)
But then another crowd appeared
With them came the Lord of salvation
Looking, feeling, that sad event
(He approached the mother and spoke)
(He approached the mother and spoke)
Don't cry anymore, the Lord comforted her
He touched the young man and then commanded him
Young man, get up, and he immediately revived
(In one voice the people said: Glory to God)
(In one voice the people said: Glory to God)
And at that moment all the weeping ceased
And the mother embraced her beloved son
And the whole crowd glorified the Lord
(And God visited his people like this)
(And God visited his people like this)
