Hino de Sapiranga - RS
Hinos de Cidades
Anthem of Sapiranga - RS
A river, a valley, a blessed land
In the southernmost region of Brazil.
I fly freely in the City of Roses:
It's Sapiranga, come see what you haven't seen!
The River of Bells, woods, parks, and lakes,
We have hills with beautiful waterfalls.
In its forests, flourishing streams,
In spring, we have mountain flowers.
How beautiful is our city! Here
There's a breeze that comes from the mountain.
And these capable people, who wake up
Early, build Sapiranga.
The hill is Ferrabraz, which once was
The Scenario of the Muckers, in the past:
By Jacobina, the clever warrior
Who became a legend in the City of Roses.
The odyssey of your immigrants,
Through the twists of the Serra Geral,
Was the prelude to a triumphant people,
That Sapiranga came to reveal to us.
Pioneers, daring Germans,
Tenacious men from a distant land,
Who bequeathed us traditions and were
The precursors of this thriving industry!
We are making the great history now
Perpetuating the great divine work,
Carving in this proud workshop,
The imposing City of Roses!
Paving the paths of the Future,
Without forgetting the paths of the past:
It's writing a myth, with great pride,
For attributes that were passed down to us!
