you rise as a Queen of splendor,

you are a pioneer of the São Paulo state interior.

with great pride, the 'Land of Tropeiros'.
You are, oh Sorocaba, one of the springs
of this great glorious São Paulo,
city of Work and Schools,

With your skyscrapers, you soar high
all the ideals of a hardworking people,
and the industrial potential you control today

with your sisters, alongside the first ones,
You march with São Paulo in step,
Since the golden times of the bandeiras.
You were land of cowboys, champions of the lasso;
With their troops, with their famous fairs;
today you are commerce, industry, steel towers,
Everything is your blood, in the Brazilian veins.
