Anthem of Quissamã - RJ
In the vastness of this lofty land,
Emerges a flower of simple candor,
Its brown and mischievous beauty,
Floods our fields with color.
O Quissamã, good and friendly land,
That the generous hand of God adorned,
Treasure open to the sky that shelters,
Bathed in the blue of the sea that cradled it.
In its history thus revealed,
That Maldonado recorded in annals,
The Parish elevated in Viala,
Dedicated to the Virgin of Exile.
Of simple, faithful people of this land,
With traditions of unparalleled beauty,
Reliquary that history holds,
Reason and charm of my singing.
O Quissamã, good and friendly land,
That the generous hand of God adorned,
Treasure open to the sky that shelters,
Bathed in the blue of the sea that cradled it.
Golden in the sun that tans its beaches,
Rugged beauty, flowering sandbank,
It is Quissamã, land that dazzles,
Cradle of dreams, delights of love.
Quissamã is that pure and beautiful flower,
That sprouts in the sun, in such gentle soil,
With gallantry the people of this land,
Sing its glory to the corners of Brazil.
O Quissamã, good and friendly land,
That the generous hand of God adorned,
Treasure open to the sky that shelters,
Bathed in the blue of the sea that cradled it.
